Two-minute energy boosters

Have you ever felt flat-out fatigued in the middle of the day? Chances are, you looked the part too. We caught up with some on-the-go beauties and compiled their secret energizers that keep them lovely and lively throughout the whole day. 
 
1. Drink up. Instead of heading for the soda machine, energize with some ice-cold H2O. It has no calories, no sugar, no fat or cholesterol, and helps flush away your body’s toxins! What more can you ask for? Keep a cold tumbler-full of water handy on your desk, to remind you to take a sip or two from time to time.
 
2. Spritz it. Dig out your fave cologne bottle from your kikay kit and freshen up your scent. For that added aromatherapy energy, choose light and citrus-y variants over deep heavy florals or musks.     
 
3. It’s a draw. Scrounge around your work area for some scratch paper, and doodle away for a couple of minutes. Art therapy is a great way to relieve tension and to express your emotions.
 
4. Say Ohmmm. Close your eyes and take deep breaths. Find a saying or a mantra that has a deep meaning for you and repeat it to yourself while breathing deeply. This helps you focus your energy on your goals or wishes.
 
5. Get the goss. There are several entertainment websites such as omg on Yahoo! That can give you snippets of hot gossip about your fave celebs that you can read in a jiff.
 
6. Tune in. Switch on your ipod and tap your feet or hum to your favorite bouncy tune. Listening to your favorite dance track makes a great energy blast.    
 
7. Send some mail. Send an email blast to the girls about how much fun you had the last time you went out, and how much you are looking forward to the next girls night-out.
 
8. Watch the funnies. Grab a quick peek at the latest funny video posted on youtube. Tell your officemates about it, so they’ll soon be laughing along.
 
9. Stretch your stuff. Sashay over to an officemate’s cubicle to drop off a candy bar or two to show her how much you appreciated her inputs on your last project. While you are walking, take a sidetrip to the office hottie’s office to flash him your most confident smile.
 
10. Wash your face. There’s no better perk-me-up than having clean, glowing skin.
